Written by Gerry Conway and illustrated by Mike Clark, Brad Vancata, Joe Rosas, Mickey Ritter, with inks by Alfredo Alcala and lettering by Diana Albers and Michael Heisler, the issue features a cover by Nick Jainschigg.
In "A Tomb for the Living," Conan finds himself trapped in a besieged city, his mercenary forces starving and outmatched by General Kayde’s Turanian army. With no hope on the battlefield, he turns to a desperate alliance with a hidden band of lepers beneath the city’s walls, forging a fragile bond that may be their only chance to survive.
In "Red Stones," young Conan the thief takes on a deadly quest for Lady Siddhara, who seeks the legendary red stones said to heal and rejuvenate. Accompanied by her bodyguard Palus—once her lover—Conan infiltrates the immortal Ramtha Karn’s citadel, only to uncover a horrifying truth: the stones feed on human blood.
In "Pillar of the Sky," Conan and a band of soldiers race to save the Nemedian Imperator Addelaus, imprisoned atop a towering temple by Hyperborean savages who worship the sky god Bardisattva. Taken captive and broken by the Silent Followers’ cruel rituals, Addelaus is no longer the noble he once was—his mind shattered, his spirit tested beyond endurance.
