Part four of "The Kindly Ones" arrives with one of the most quietly unsettling covers in the run — three robed figures, their faces masked by draped golden-green fabric, kneel with hands pressed together in a gesture that reads as prayer or supplication, while a trio of ornate antique keys floats above them against a pale, script-marked ground. Dave McKean's painted cover art captures something ancient and ritualistic, the figures anonymous yet charged with presence. Neil Gaiman, Marc Hempel, and D'Israeli continue their work on this extended arc in this June 1994 DC/Vertigo entry.
