Sandman #11

Part two of "The Doll's House" arrives with a Dave McKean cover that feels less like a comic book and more like a piece of fine art — a shadowy, dreamlike collage of a crouching figure, a large butterfly with vivid blue-green wings, scattered twigs, and a pair of scissors resting in the foreground. The layered, textured imagery perfectly sets the unsettling, intimate mood that Neil Gaiman and artist Mike Dringenberg were crafting with this arc in 1989. If you're following Sandman's early run, this is one you'll want in hand.
