Issue #20 kicks off "The John Doe Affair" with a cover by Ashley Wood that sets an immediately tense, noir-drenched tone — a wild-haired figure in a dark suit advances with two guns leveled directly at the viewer, rendered in Wood's moody, painterly sepia style against a hazy urban backdrop.
