S.H.I.E.L.D. #12
Three armed S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stand resolute against a backdrop of a massive, fog-shrouded helicarrier facility, while an enormous armored fist — clearly belonging to a far more powerful threat — dominates the foreground with menacing presence. Julian Totino Tedesco's cover composition does a fine job of conveying the scale of whatever the team is up against in this issue subtitled "Kingslayer." Written by Mark Waid with art by Joe Bennett and colors by Rachelle Rosenberg, this 2016 Marvel series inspired by the hit TV show delivers the kind of tactical tension that makes S.H.I.E.L.D. such compelling reading.
