Rom and his fellow Spaceknights battle the rogue Spaceknights on Galador but lose as Rom still holds to his code of honor not to kill. After the rogues kill the last humans on Galador, Rom and his companions flee to keep Brandy safe. With his humanity and his world lost, Rom begins to question his moral code. Rom and his fellow Spaceknights invade the rogue's Dark Tower so that Scanner can call home the remaining lost Spaceknights to help battle the rogues. Rom meets the rogue's leader, Lord Dominor, who desires to take Brandy as a mate and prepares to face off against him in single combat.
