Unum begs forgiveness for abusing his powers and Rom agrees to let him join the Spaceknights in their quest to find missing companions. Rom and his allies land on a planet where the locals try to ambush them. They meet fellow Spaceknight, Vola, who explains that the citizens of Clavius are untrusting because another Spaceknight, Raak, has been working with the Dire Wraiths to oppress them. Rom battles Raak and is about to be melted by his awesome microwave powers when Unum intervenes and saves his life. Rom banishes Raak and the Wraiths to Limbo even as he begins to mourn the loss of Unum.
