“Rick and Morty Go to Hell: Chapter Two”

In "Rick and Morty Go to Hell: Chapter Two," Rick, Morty, Beth, Summer, and Jerry find themselves trapped in a scorching, demonic realm where even the sun mocks them with biting sarcasm. Summer escapes her parents’ chaos by crafting a dreamlike musical life—only to confront an unexpected twist. Meanwhile, Rick refuses to admit they’re truly in Hell, Morty faces a humiliating "movie of their shame," and Jerry’s attempt to rally the damned backfires spectacularly. Written by Ryan Ferrier and brought to life with sharp, expressive art by Constanza Oroza—pencils, inks, and cover all by her—this issue blends surreal horror with biting humor, while Sarah Stern’s colors and Crank!’s lettering heighten the chaotic tone. The cover by Constanza Oroza captures the series’ signature absurdity with a fiery, theatrical flair.

Rick, Morty, Beth, Summer, and Jerry have been dropped into a hot, fiery place filled with tortured souls and demons, which Rick still refuses to recognize as Hell. Summer walks away from her ever-arguing parents and creates for herself a life based on a romantic musical - with an unhappy surprise ending. Now in the circles of Hell, Rick and Morty are subject to a theatrical showing of a "movie of their collective shame" and the blistering heat and ceaseless vitriol of a sarcastic sun in the "Desert of Truth". Jerry stirs up the damned souls against Rick but, typically, takes things too far.
