Rick and Morty #8
In "Carry-Out of the Gods," the newly escaped gods from Anti Hala descend upon Earth, unleashing chaos as Nunzumel absorbs their power to become dangerously omnipotent in his pursuit of Rick. With Noelle (as Noellezumel) and Morty finding common ground, and Beth tending to a wounded Godtaur, the fractured team must unite to face the invasion. Meanwhile, Rick allies with Vultureperson, and even Vronsky is reshaped into a new kind of servant—though not the one he’d expect. Written by Alex Firer and illustrated with sharp, surreal flair by Fred C. Stresing, this issue’s cover by Stresing captures the escalating madness.

The newly-escaped gods from Anti Hala wreak havoc with the mortals of Earth. Nunzumel absorbs the power of these gods into himself, becoming all-powerful in his quest to destroy Rick. Noelle (as Noellezumel) and Morty have a heart-to-heart talk, and team up to vanquish the invading gods. Horse surgeon Beth finds a wounded "Godtaur" and operates on the horse-portion of his body. Nunzumel saves Vronsky from The All-Gorithm, transforming him into another pallid, zombie-like slave Jerry. Rick forms an alliance with Vultureperson, and the pair move against Nunzumel.
