Richie needs a shirt made of rags for a special party which is Gloria's idea. After Richie tries on the shabby shirt, he goes to stores hoping to buy cheap jewelry, candy and flowers for Gloria, then go to a restaurant - only to be given luxury items and treated like a wealthy person. Unbeknownst to Richie, the staff who worked at these outlets did find out about Richie's wealth because information on Rich Enterprises and his $100,000 weekly allowance was shown on the back of his shabby shirt.
