Resurrection Man #7
Gotham D.O.A." brings Resurrection Man into Batman's city for what the cover promises is a charged encounter — a cloaked, fists-clenched Dark Knight looms over a kneeling, bare-backed figure surrounded by unsettling anatomical jars and a tray of grim specimens. Tom Grindberg's pencils and Butch Guice's inks give the scene a moody, morgue-lit tension that fits perfectly in DC's 1997 lineup. Abnett and Lanning's series continues to find imaginative corners of the DC Universe, and putting their undying protagonist in the shadow of Batman is a compelling way to raise the stakes.
