This 1979 Marvel issue puts Red Sonja in one of her most desperate situations yet — surrounded in a stone tomb by fanged, reaching figures she herself identifies in a cover speech balloon as vampires, while two crowned, red-eyed undead kings loom menacingly on either side. Dave Cockrum's cover pencils and inks capture the She-Devil with a Sword mid-battle, her blade drawn and her fiery red hair flying as she faces the snarling horde closing in around her.
