The cover by Frank Thorne is a swirling melee — Red Sonja, flaming hair loose and sword raised high, battles alongside a dark-cloaked warrior atop a massive black elephant, while demonic creatures with tusks and horns press in from every side. Titled "The Blade and the Behemoths," this issue looks like exactly the kind of wild, chaotic clash that made Marvel's Hyborian Age titles so thrilling in the late 1970s.
