Real Life Comics #47

Real Life Comics #47 is an anthology containing three historical biographical stories. The first features Captain McNelly, a Texas Ranger depicted fighting border bandits in a Western gunfight. The second story follows John Howard Payne, a songwriter and playwright who wrote "Home, Sweet Home" and lived a troubled life wandering Europe, eventually becoming a United States Consul at Tunis. The third story depicts William Penn planning Philadelphia as the capital of the new commonwealth and establishing peaceful relations with Native Americans, resulting in decades of harmonious coexistence between Penn's settlers and the indigenous tribes.
