“The Terror Of The Phoenix Sword”
About this Collection

The twenty-seventh volume of Viz's 2004 edition of Rumiko Takahashi's classic martial arts romantic comedy. This installment continues the chaotic adventures of Ranma Saotome and his many rivals and fiancées, featuring more magical curses, absurd challenges, and the usual blend of slapstick and romantic tension that defines the series.

In "The Terror Of The Phoenix Sword," Kuno’s latest quest for martial perfection takes a bizarre turn when he acquires the fabled Egg Of The Phoenix—only to find it hatches into a feisty, flame-winged chick that takes up residence on his head. The creature, however, has a fierce grudge against Ranma, turning the already chaotic dojo into a battleground of feathers, fire, and frustrated swordplay. Written by Rumiko Takahashi, Kaori Inoue, and Gerard Jones, with art by Takahashi and inks by Bill Schuch, this 2004 Viz issue delivers classic slapstick chaos with a fiery twist. The cover, a vibrant collaboration by Takahashi and Yuki Ameda, captures the absurd spectacle in full feathered glory.
