R.E.B.E.L.S. #24
Kicking off "Starstruck, Part 1," this March 2011 issue of R.E.B.E.L.S. puts the team front and center beneath an imposing yellow emblem that dominates the cover — a green-skinned, white-jacketed leader charges forward with fierce determination, flanked by a red-haired woman crackling with purple energy, a wild-haired figure brandishing a blade wreathed in flame, and an armored gunslinger ready for action. Francis Portela's cover art gives the whole ensemble a propulsive, dynamic energy that makes it hard not to flip straight to the first page. Tony Bedard and Claude St. Aubin's sci-fi superhero series is in fine form here, promising an adventure as bold as the team's attitude.
