Having accidentally killed a family, the Punisher pleads guilty and is sentenced to death. While awaiting execution, the priest who administers the last rites turns out to be Bullseye who tells Frank that he killed the Dreyer family. The execution is carried out but the Punisher wakes up, still alive. He has been spared by mob boss Mario Geraci who asks Frank to take over his operations when he dies and keep it free of drugs and prostitution. When Bullseye shoots Geraci with a sniper rifle, the Punisher shoots him in the hands. He then tells Geraci that he will take over his crime family.
