Wayne Tucker meets Lindsey Falmon when he comes to Seattle to stay at her stepfather's hotel. Andrew Chaser meets Tyrone Jessup in his astral form in the rubble of Sanctuary. Since the destruction of Sanctuary, Tyrone's body has been in the hospital with third-degree burns covering most of it. Chaser learns, and tells Tyrone, that Wayne Tucker is in Seattle and being pursued by the Medusa Web, a paranormal mercenary outfit hired by the government. When agents of the Medusa Web attempt to capture Wayne, Lindsey helps him escape and Tyrone arrives to aid them. During the battle, Lindsey manifests her own paranormal power to "read" the past of inanimate objects. Lindsey suggests they head to Canada.
