Few comics from 1974 could boast a premise this wild: Prez, America's teen president, is caught in the grip of a snarling vampire right inside the Oval Office, the Presidential seal visible as papers scatter and chaos erupts around them. Onlookers burst through the door in the background, one of them crying out "We're too late — that creature's found the President!" in a speech bubble that sells the urgency perfectly. Jerry Grandenetti's cover art delivers genuine menace alongside the gleeful absurdity that made this DC series such a singular artifact of its era.
