“Freedom!”

In "Freedom!", Luke Cage celebrates his exoneration with friends at a victory party thrown by lawyer Jeryn Hogarth—only for the night to turn tense when Stiletto and Discus, the super-powered sons of Warden Stewart, crash the event seeking retribution. With four heroes present and their father watching, the atmosphere crackles with danger. Luke Cage joins Misty, Colleen, and Danny at Nightwing Restorations, where the real fight is just beginning. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by John Byrne, Dave Cockrum, and Dan Green, with colors by F. Mouly and letters by Denise Wohl, the cover by Rich Buckler and Dave Cockrum captures the moment's electric tension.

With Luke Cage finally exhonorated for a crime he didn't commit, lawyer Jeryn Hogarth throws a victory party for all of his friends. The party is crashed by Stiletto and Discus, Warden Stewart's super-powered sons, who are gunning for Cage as they feel he has ducked justice and flaunted the law. With four heroes in attendance (as well as their dad), this turns out to be a monumentally bad idea. Luke Cage joins Misty, Colleen and Danny in Nightwing Restorations.
