Power Girl strides front and center on this 1988 DC four-issue mini-series opener, her white costume and red cape crackling with energy as golden beams radiate outward in every direction — she looks confident, even a little defiant, bursting through what appears to be a steel wall. Kerry Gammill and Dick Giordano deliver a cover that puts the heroine's raw power on full display, with sunburst lines and sparking impact points that practically hum off the page.
