After the criminals are caught with the help of police bloodhounds, Plastic Man thwarts their scheme. In a separate story, a young woman named Candy works at her father's electrical appliance store while he attends a convention, but discovers a mysterious figure leaving only his clothes behind—a man-hunter with supernatural powers who has vanished from a locked room. The issue features two action-packed tales of crime and mystery typical of the anthology format.
When Officer Dan Richards discovers that the charitable "Uncle Charlie" is actually the notorious criminal Charles Chuckaluck in disguise, he suspects the man's been framed for a croupier's murder—especially when his four-legged partner, Thor, vouches for his innocence. Manhunter and the clever dog must track down the real killers before an innocent man pays the ultimate price, leading to a climactic confrontation in the dark.
