In "Evolution's Nightmare!", set in the distant past of the Planet of the Apes universe, the remnants of a brutal war between apes and humans are reduced to a single man and a single gorilla, both survivors of a battlefield that has seen the end of civilizations. With the world still burning and no allies left, their bitter enmity must give way to an uneasy alliance as they face the unknown dangers of the forbidden zone together.

In "Into the Forbidden Zone," Taylor, Nova, Julius (a.k.a. Lucas), Dr. Zira, and Dr. Cornelius venture into a long-banned cave where ancient human artifacts hint at a forgotten past. There, they face Dr. Zaius, whose reaction to a mysterious human doll leaves him stunned and silent.
