The tagline says it all — "Ape Battles Mutant on a Dying Planet!" — and Ken Barr's cover delivers exactly that, with a heavily armed ape warrior surging forward against a backdrop of fire, crumbling machinery, and skeletal mutant figures locked in desperate combat. Smaller ape faces crowd the foreground, caught in expressions of fear and fury, while rockets streak through a smoke-choked sky that makes the world feel genuinely on the edge of annihilation.
