Warko, loyal only to Brutus, threatens to kill the Lawgiver if Jason does not fly them to Brutus' secret encampment. A fight ensues and the skycar crashes: all survive. It is revealed that Brutus is working in cahoots with Gestalt Commander Be-One, who grants Brutus permission to use as many mutant war machines as necessary to hunt down and kill the Lawgiver.
