Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #298

Part of Marvel Legacy's "Most Wanted" arc, this issue finds Spider-Man in a seriously bad spot — Adam Kubert's cover shows a downed, seemingly helpless Peter Parker sprawled at the bottom of the image while a menacing, spiked-collar figure looms aggressively overhead, claws outstretched against a shattered urban backdrop. With Chip Zdarsky writing and Kubert handling both pencils and inks, the creative team brings a palpable sense of danger to "Escape Plans" — and judging by that cover, Peter is going to need every bit of his ingenuity to get out of this one.
