“Strife with Father!”

In "Strife with Father!", the girls of Riverdale rally around Pop when he worries the Choklit Shop might close, pushing him to modernize with new jukebox records and wild sundae names—only to find that even their own advice makes Pop seem unhinged to Grundy and Weatherbee. George Frese’s art brings the small-town charm and sibling sparring to life in this 1955 slice of Archie Comics history.

When Pop confides in the girls that he might have to close up the Choklit Shop, the girls get angry and convince him that he needs to get new records for the jukebox and give the sundaes crazy names in order to stay competitive. Their ideas work, and when Pop tells Grundy and Weatherbee that they should listen to the kids, they think he sounds nuts.
