The whole Riverdale gang grins down from the masthead as this three-panel cover unfolds a perfectly timed pratfall: a robed figure cheerfully invites Archie to ride a mechanical bull, and by the final panel the red-haired teen comes sailing right out the door — with a very dry punchline delivered to a wide-eyed onlooker. Stan G.'s cover art captures the breezy, split-second comedy that made Archie Comics such dependable fun in 1981, and at fifty cents it was a genuine bargain for a laugh this well-staged.
