Pep #224
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePrincipal Weatherbee's portrait is doing the heavy lifting in this December 1968 installment of Pep — his scowling painted face looms large on the school wall while Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and the gang scramble around the water fountain he's supposedly keeping in line. Dan DeCarlo's pencils and Jon D'Agostino's inks give the gag a wonderfully animated energy, with Weatherbee himself peering smugly from behind his office door to admire his own handiwork. It's a warm slice of Riverdale school-day humor that captures exactly why this long-running Archie Series title kept readers coming back.
