Our Army at War #110
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom DC's beloved WWII anthology series, issue #110 teases a compelling question right on the cover: "Can a man who always commands learn to obey? That's what Sgt. Rock has to prove to the Combat-Happy Joes of Easy Co. in 'That's an Order!'" Joe Kubert's cover art crackles with battlefield tension, depicting a helmeted soldier charging out of dense jungle foliage with a submachine gun blazing, while a swastika-marked enemy weapon dominates the foreground, its barrel glowing with a fiery blast. Robert Kanigher and Kubert were one of comics' great creative partnerships in 1961, and this issue — with its promise of Rock stepping into an unfamiliar role — looks like a fine example of why this series earned such devoted readership.
