Old Man Logan #4

Issue four of Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino's Old Man Logan delivers one of 2016's most striking cover images: a weathered Logan — claws extended — lies slumped against the face of a massive Captain America shield, dwarfed by the enormous, skull-like fist looming above in a firestorm of orange and gold. Sorrentino's composition is genuinely unsettling, using the shield's circular form as a kind of arena to frame just how outmatched this older, worn-down Wolverine may be. Marcelo Maiolo's scorched color palette ties it all together, making "Berserker: Part Four" feel like a chapter where the odds are stacked very, very high.
