This is an anthology issue containing at least two stories. In the main "Nyoka" story, Nyoka of the Jungle must stop rival tribal chiefs from fighting by finding and returning a sacred golden spear that was stolen long ago by white raiders, brokering peace between the warring tribes. "Smala Defeat" is a text story about Colonel Jacques Bon-Coeur of the French Foreign Legion investigating weapons smuggling in Morocco, where he discovers that Smala tribesmen have raided a city and fled to the desert, leading him to organize a swift military response to recover evidence of the modern weapons being distributed to the natives.
