Nyoka helps guide visitors through the jungle, but becomes caught up in a scheme involving a ceremonial banao mask from the Banao tribe. When Queen Eloba demands the mask, Nyoka must navigate between the Queen's insistence and protecting the tribe's sacred artifact. Meanwhile, a white hunter named Warren has been hired to lead a safari party into the region, and his presence complicates matters as the story involves tribal conflicts and competing interests over the valuable mask.
