“Four Against the Sphinx!”

Nova finds himself cornered by three formidable foes at once — a winged figure swooping from above, a powerfully built villain in purple charging from behind, and a hulking blue adversary closing in from the left, all while the ominous tagline warns that the Sphinx shall inherit the Earth. Al Milgrom's dynamic cover crackles with urgency as Nova braces for the assault, defiantly declaring he'll slay his attackers right back. Marv Wolfman and Sal Buscema deliver a 1977 Marvel title that clearly isn't pulling any punches with its hero's odds.
