Nova

Marvel's Nova (1976–1978) introduced the original human rocket, Richard Rider, a teenager who gains the powers of the last surviving member of the intergalactic Nova Corps. Written primarily by Marv Wolfman and drawn by a rotating team of Sal Buscema, Frank Giacoia, and Carmine Infantino, the series blended cosmic adventure with street-level superheroics. Over 21 issues, it established a fan-favorite character whose legacy would ripple through Marvel's cosmic universe long after its brief but influential run.
