Marvel's beloved parody title goes out in gloriously absurd style with this 1969 send-up of superhero culture. The cover, rendered by Marie Severin, presents a full sheet of mock postage stamps featuring caricatures of Spider-Man, the Thing, the Silver Surfer, Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America, and more — each paired with deadpan slogans like "Statehood for Atlantis," "Fight Socialized Sorcery," and "Arachnids Unite!" It's a wonderfully silly celebration of the Marvel universe turning its jokes on itself, asking right up front: "Who says a comic book has to be good?
