Nightwing #2
In "Die Trying," Nightwing finds himself unexpectedly wealthy and puts his new fortune to work building a custom high-performance car, but his focus is quickly pulled away by a tense reunion with Tad, who's visibly unsettled by a conversation with the man who once wore the Tarantula mantle. The issue closes with a chilling glimpse of Man-Bat in the final panel, hinting at looming danger. Written by Chuck Dixon and brought to life by Scott McDaniel’s dynamic art, with inks by Karl Story and colors by Roberta Tewes and Jamison, the cover by McDaniel and Story captures the story’s electric tension.
In "Mutt," Nightwing takes a quiet but meaningful turn as he connects with a troubled youngster, offering guidance in a city that rarely slows down. Meanwhile, Clancy finds himself at odds with Tad, a self-appointed vigilante who’s more fanatical than helpful, turning the familiar alleyways of Gotham into a tense battleground of ideals.
In "Dead Meat," Batman and Nightwing find themselves in a bizarre and dangerous predicament when they’re nearly devoured by a herd of pigs. Sent to eliminate them, the mercenary duo Lady Vic and Stallion are hired by Blockbuster, setting off a tense, unpredictable clash of wits and violence.
In "Warriors Two," Nightwing faces off against a brutal trio of villains—Lady Vic, Stallion, and the seemingly unstoppable Blockbuster—during a chaotic clash that leaves a house in ruins. Though Blockbuster is buried beneath the wreckage and presumed dead, the true danger may only just be beginning.
In "Wheels," Nightwing finds himself unexpectedly wealthy and channels his newfound fortune into building a custom high-performance car, turning heads and raising eyebrows. As he gears up for a new kind of thrill, old ties resurface when Tad gets caught up in a tense conversation with someone who once wore the Tarantula mask. The story ends with Man-Bat looming in the shadows, a silent presence that hints at trouble on the horizon.
In "The Stalking Skies," Nightwing tracks a feral Man-Bat through the shadows of Gotham, the city’s skyline alive with danger and uncertainty. As the hunt intensifies, the arrival of Deathstroke in the final panel casts a new, ominous shadow over the chase.
