Nightcrawler #3

Aug 2014 · Marvel · 3.99 USD
“If at First You Don't Succeed... ...Tri, Trimega Again!”

In "If at First You Don't Succeed... ...Tri, Trimega Again!", Nightcrawler faces a terrifying escalation as Trimega returns in three distinct forms, each wielding unique abilities. With Chris Claremont writing and Todd Nauck handling both art and inks, the issue builds tension as Margali’s true intentions unfold—her spell on Beast and Storm leaves them powerless, and a far greater threat emerges when a massive wave of Trimegas attacks the school. Jamie McKelvie’s striking cover captures the chaos, while Rachelle Rosenberg’s colors and Cory Petit’s lettering heighten the urgency of a story where the line between ally and enemy blurs.

Trimega returns in three bodies, each with different powers, but finally Margali banishes the three of them. Kurt agrees Margali should return with he and Amanda to the school so the X-Men can protect her and determine what Trimega is after. However, once inside the school Margali places a spell on Beast and Storm to access their knowledge, leaving them reduced to little more than drawings on paper. Just as Amanda realizes what her mother is truly after, an even larger force of Trimegas than before assaults the school.
