Mystery in Space #89

This February 1964 DC anthology brings together two of the Silver Age's most compelling heroes — Adam Strange, teased in the corner box, and Hawkman, who dominates the cover in spectacular fashion. Murphy Anderson's cover art depicts the winged warrior straining against the cables of a churning tornado-like vortex, while a mysterious motorcyclist races away below — a vivid promise of the "Super-Motorized Menace" within. With Gardner Fox scripting and Carmine Infantino on interior art, this is a fine example of the imaginative, kinetic storytelling that made Mystery in Space one of DC's most beloved titles of the era.
