“Daddy Develops”

In "Daddy Develops," the ever-resourceful Rubbernose finds himself alone in a bank under evacuation after a bomb threat, left to guard the premises with nothing but a whistle and a ticking clock. With the president’s warning echoing, Rubbernose must stay calm and alert—though his usual antics might not help when the real danger is anything but a joke. Written, drawn, and inked by Art Helfant, this 1958 Charlton gem features a cover by Charles Nicholas and Jon D'Agostino.
