“Eyeglasses”

The tall, lanky Mutt lounges in an armchair reading the Morning Blim... newspaper, cheerfully insisting "there's no difficulty in the world that can't be overcome!" — while the short, round-faced Jeff sits nearby, thoroughly tangled in what appears to be a mess of string or tubing, firing back the perfectly timed retort: "Oh, no? Did you ever try squeezing toothpaste back into the tube?!" It's a delightfully relatable gag captured in one bright, sunny cover image, with Sheldon Mayer's clean linework giving the comedy exactly the right punch. A fine 1957 entry in DC's long-running humor series, and at a dime, this was an easy laugh well spent.
