Bud Fisher's beloved odd-couple duo returns in this 52-page DC offering from early 1949, with cover art by Sheldon Mayer delivering an instantly charming gag: the tall, lanky Mutt leans over the short, round Jeff outside an eyeglass shop, puzzling over why Jeff needed a third pair of glasses — only for Jeff to cheerfully explain they're "to look for the other two pair." It's the kind of warm, absurdist humor that made Mutt and Jeff a comic strip institution, and at ten cents for over fifty pages, this February–March issue offered readers a genuinely generous helping of laughs.
