"Torchy, the Blonde Bombshell" shows the female agent dealing with escaped alligators and disrupting criminal plans. "Ezra, Teen-Age Romeo" follows a young man navigating romantic jealousy and interpersonal conflicts with his peers. Additional features include "Will Bragg, Master of Bluster" and other character-driven adventure tales.
When a blazing comet approaches Earth carrying mysterious creatures from the void, the Blackhawks scramble to uncover their terrifying mission—and to rescue their captured comrade Chuck. As these extraterrestrial invaders prove immune to bullets and breach the defenses of an atomic plant, the dark knights of the sky must devise an desperate strategy before the creatures can claim their ultimate goal. Their only chance lies in a dangerous gambit that will test every ounce of courage and cunning they possess.
When a boastful blowhard named Will Bragg exaggerates his stunt-flying credentials to impress Fire Chief Carl Swenson and the ladies at Mrs. Mahoulahan's boarding house, he finds himself signed up for an actual aerial performance at the local air circus. Facing the beautiful and skilled pilot Trixie Moran, Bragg must either confess his lies or wing it—literally—during loop-the-loops and tricks he's never actually performed. What unfolds is a hilarious clash between his tall tales and the terrifying reality of life at altitude, complete with all the physical comedy you'd expect from a 1950 humor comic.
