Mini Marvels Ultimate Collection #[nn]
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis oversized collection gathers the earliest Mini Marvels stories, a series of all-ages, chibi-style comic strips that reimagine the Marvel Universe with adorable, pint-sized versions of classic heroes and villains. Spanning multiple one-shots and short features originally published in various Marvel titles, it delivers lighthearted, gag-driven adventures featuring everyone from Spider-Man and the X-Men to the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. The volume showcases the playful, cartoony art of Chris Giarrusso, whose Mini Marvels became a beloved fan-favorite for their humor and charm.
"Paperboy Blues" is a standout tale in the Mini Marvels Ultimate Collection, blending humor and heart in a story where Peter Parker, after being fired from his paper route by J. Jonah Jameson, takes on a new role as a babysitter for the Power children. Written by Marc Sumerak and brought to life with vibrant, expressive art by Chris Giarrusso—handling pencils, inks, colors, and letters—this issue captures the chaos of a superhero navigating everyday life, from a showdown with Sandman in a sandbox to an unexpected run-in with Iron Man at the playground. The cover, also by Giarrusso, perfectly captures the series’ playful spirit.
In "Civil Wards: A Mini Marvels Event in Four Parts," Peter Parker—still reeling from being fired from his paper route after his identity was exposed—takes on a new kind of mission: babysitting the Power children. With the kids’ wild energy and a surprise showdown in the sandbox against Sandman, Spider-Man learns that even heroes need a little help keeping things under control. When Iron Man blocks their playground visit, Peter must find a new way to balance heroics and responsibility—just as his friends step in to help.
In "Hulk Date," Jo tries to impress Betty with a romantic outing, but even the best superhero advice can’t prepare him for the chaos that follows—especially when Betty’s dad sends a Hulkbuster robot to crash the date.
In this hilarious twist on the Hulk’s legend, the Illuminators send him rocketing into space—only for him to come back ready to rumble. After a wild, no-holds-barred wrestling match with his old foes, the Hulk discovers he’s been played: one of his own Warbound orchestrated the whole thing as part of a prank reality show.
When the Human Torch gets fed up with being asked to dim his flames around the house, he quits the Fantastic Four and sets out to join the Avengers and the X-Men—only to discover that superhero teams aren’t quite as welcoming as he hoped.
In "Hawkeye and the Beanstalk," the archer scales a towering beanstalk to investigate a strange signal, only to stumble upon a hidden spaceship where he encounters the Silver Surfer—someone who warns that a powerful force is coming to destroy Earth. With the fate of the planet hanging in the balance, Hawkeye must decide how to respond to a threat he can’t yet see.
