A massive army of armored soldiers stretches to the horizon behind a single red-helmeted warrior who charges forward sword in hand, energy swirling around the blade — Michael Golden's cover for Micronauts #12 makes the scale of this "Blood Feud!" feel genuinely epic. The inset portraits in the upper left hint at the cast caught up in whatever conflict that looming legion represents. Bill Mantlo and Golden were crafting some of Marvel's most visually inventive science-fantasy in 1979, and this issue — subtitled "They Came from Inner Space" — looks like a prime example of that ambition.
