Metal Men #52
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this July 1977 DC issue sets up a wonderfully urgent scene: Doctor Magnus and Tina race desperately across a chaotic industrial landscape while a looming, wide-eyed robotic face dominates the background, its enormous hands reaching into the foreground. Swarming around them is a mob of determined-looking children — the so-called Brain Children — who taunt Magnus with the bold cover caption, "Too late, Magnus! Not even YOU can out-think the Brain Children!" Walter Simonson's cover art brings real kinetic energy to the confrontation, and Martin Pasko and Joe Staton's creative team promises that "Doctor Strangeglove and the Brain Children" delivers exactly the kind of imaginative, fast-moving adventure Metal Men fans were hungry for in 1977.
