Meet Merton #11

When a phone company cable failure knocks out Merton's service for a couple of hours, he sees the perfect opening for a prank on his friend Marcia—ordering a ten-karat diamond ring and a five-thousand-dollar mink coat and having the bills sent to his father. But Marcia, determined to help, places the orders herself while the phone still works, setting off a comedy of errors that spirals wildly out of Merton's control. As the mink coat changes hands in increasingly absurd ways, Merton finds himself caught in a mix-up he never intended—and for once, he might actually be innocent.

When Merton's mom insists he baby-sit his mischievous young cousins instead of going bowling, he and his pal Calories grumble that girls are nothing but trouble—until Marcia and Jo Ann volunteer to take over for the evening. But after the twins turn the house into a disaster zone and leave them soaked, the girls reveal they've got payback in mind, and Merton learns there's a lot worse fates than missing a bowling night.

When Merton and Marcia clash over whether the school's new magazine should focus on fashion or humor, they each sabotage the other's speech in increasingly elaborate ways—all to prove their side is best. After a tie vote leaves them stuck as co-editors, the two discover they'll need to work together when a faculty member tries to take control of the project, forcing them to set aside their rivalry for something that matters more.

When Mike gets tapped for membership in an exclusive school club, he faces an unusual challenge: convince at least one student he's a girl by six o'clock—or forget about joining. What follows is a hilarious series of mix-ups as the twin navigates the school in drag, repeatedly running into suspicious classmates, an overeager admirer, and his own sister, all while the clock ticks down. In the end, Mike's last-minute gambit might just pull off the impossible in the most unexpected way.
