Mink Mad

When a phone company cable failure knocks out Merton's service for a couple of hours, he sees the perfect opening for a prank on his friend Marcia—ordering a ten-karat diamond ring and a five-thousand-dollar mink coat and having the bills sent to his father. But Marcia, determined to help, places the orders herself while the phone still works, setting off a comedy of errors that spirals wildly out of Merton's control. As the mink coat changes hands in increasingly absurd ways, Merton finds himself caught in a mix-up he never intended—and for once, he might actually be innocent.

Beware of the Girls

When Merton's mom insists he baby-sit his mischievous young cousins instead of going bowling, he and his pal Calories grumble that girls are nothing but trouble—until Marcia and Jo Ann volunteer to take over for the evening.
