The town wants to erect a statue of the military town hero, Robert Green, who had won the Congressional Medal of Honor. However, the town goes ahead with the idea, not knowing that the statue is being erected over a fountain.....a fountain that contains jewels from a robbery. So the criminals decide to convince the towns people that Green is no hero.
