Alex Ross paints a breathtaking nocturnal city street scene for this fifth issue, with a masked figure on a rearing black horse dominating the foreground — pistol drawn, cape billowing — while a second dark-clad hero crouches below amid the glare of vintage automobiles. It's a pulp-soaked tableau that captures the moody, hard-edged spirit of Dynamite's golden-age crossover event perfectly. Chris Roberson's script and Dennis Calero's interior art keep the momentum building as this ensemble of masked heroes pushes toward its climax.
